Chapter 6: Conguration

FTP Server

Here provides the conguration for the FTP server that will receive snapshot taken at the occurrence of

triggered events by the camera.

Image Server

This allows you to set the name of the saved snapshots taken by the camera when an event is triggered.

Notify Server

HereisforenteringthemessagethatnotiesComproView®ofaneventbeingtriggered.Thisfeatureis

meantforintegrationwithComproView®.

HTTP server

The HTTP URL entered here is meant for the camera to use HTTP protocol to send a notication message

to the HTTP server used by NVR when an event is being triggered.

SMS server

Here provides the conguration for SMS notication feature that allows the camera to send a SMS (Short

Message Service) alert message to one or more pre-dened recipients when a pre-dened event scenario

is being triggered. This feature does not require additional hardware GPRS modem and SIM card installed.

Users only need to rst apply an account with a third-party, web-based SMS gateway service provider. To

properly congure SMS server:

1. Under [Setup] > [Event Setup] > [Event Server Setup], click on [SMS server] to start conguration.

2. Provide the required data for the following eld:

Field Description

Service provider Default: Clickatell

User name User name registered at Clickatell

API ID API ID provided by Clicktatell

Target country The country code for recipient’s mobile phone

number

Target cell phone Recipient’s mobile phone number

If you do not have a Clickatell account yet, please visit [www.clickatell.com], and click [FREE SIGN

UP]. Then go ahead to sign up to the "Clickatell Central (API)" service and follow Clickatell's online

instructions to obtain an API ID.

3. Choose [Next] to save the setting.

4. Customize the SMS message content if wanted. Choose [Next].

5. To receive a test message, click on [Send me a SMS message to the SMS Gateway]. Or choose [Finish] to

save the conguration.

6. To enable SMS notication, go to [Setup] > [Event Setup], and click on [Trigger Setup] to create a new

event trigger or modify an existing one. Then under [Event Actions], check [Send SMS] and choose

[Finish].
